El Salvador President: Purchased 21 Bitcoins to Celebrate Bitcoin Day
Foresight News reported that El Salvador President Nayib Bukele tweeted that he has added 21 more bitcoin to celebrate Bitcoin Day. El Salvador's official bitcoin holdings now reach 6,313.18 BTC, valued at approximately $701 million.
According to Foresight News, El Salvador became the first country to adopt bitcoin as legal tender on September 7, 2021.
