Thailand's cryptocurrency ETF will drive expansion beyond Bitcoin to other assets
BlockBeats News, October 2, according to Bloomberg, Thailand is planning to expand its domestic cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) program from bitcoin to other digital tokens, with a launch expected early next year.
Pornanong Budsaratragoon, Secretary-General of the Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stated that the SEC and other relevant agencies are drafting rules for new ETFs to be offered by local mutual funds and institutions, providing further clarification on the plan announced earlier this year.
