Vietnam plans to limit the pilot program for crypto exchanges to five licenses
Foresight News reported, citing Vietnamese media VnEconomy, that Vietnam's Deputy Minister of Finance announced at a government press conference on Monday that the pilot program for cryptocurrency exchanges will issue up to five licenses, and the Ministry of Finance is formulating detailed regulations on taxation, compliance, and operational standards. Although companies are preparing their systems and holding preliminary discussions with officials, the Ministry of Finance has not yet received any formal applications.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance is developing regulations covering taxation, accounting policies, and operational frameworks, stating that it hopes to issue at least one license to a company before 2026, with the timeline depending on the readiness of the enterprises.
