Filecoin launches Onchain Cloud, offering verifiable, on-chain guaranteed cloud services
ChainCatcher reported that the Filecoin Foundation, FilOz, and contributors from the Filecoin ecosystem have announced the launch of Filecoin Onchain Cloud, a decentralized cloud platform designed to bring fully verifiable storage, retrieval, and payment functionalities on-chain.
Filecoin Onchain Cloud transforms core cloud functionalities into programmable and verifiable services. This means that, for the first time, developers can run real workloads in an open and verifiable cloud environment, with data, logic, and payments all coexisting on-chain. The platform is built on Filecoin's extensive decentralized storage network and is able to provide on-chain guarantees. Every interaction is auditable, every payment is conditional, and every service is composable. Developers can now build applications that run directly on infrastructure capable of proving data location, access methods, and payment timing. The same guarantees that protect smart contracts now also apply to the data they use.
