Meta's secret research project codenamed Mango plans to launch a new model in the first half of next year
Jinse Finance reported, citing The Wall Street Journal, that Meta is developing a new image and video artificial intelligence model codenamed Mango, alongside the company's next-generation large language model for text. According to sources familiar with the matter, Meta's Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer Alexandr Wang discussed these AI models during an internal employee Q&A session on Thursday with Chief Product Officer Chris Cox. These models are expected to be released in the first half of 2026.
