Largest ZEC Short Whale Expands ETH, ZEC and MON Shorts as Total Short Position Hits $163M
According to Coinbob data cited by COINOTAG News on December 30, a crypto whale nicknamed “Largest ZEC Short” has continued expanding downside bets across ETH, ZEC, and MON shorts. After booking partial profits on an ETH short overnight, the address resumed accumulation in the morning, signaling persistent bearish short positions.
The entity initially reduced a 1008 ETH short, booking about $3.08 million, before rebuilding the short with a lower average entry near $3,246. The ETH short exposure now sits around $132 million, with unrealized gains of roughly $14.23 million.
Simultaneously, ZEC short and MON short positions rose, with ZEC short total at $20.29 million (avg $419) and unrealized loss about $4.48 million; MON short at $6.67 million (avg $0.0304) and unrealized gains about $2.95 million. Collectively, the address’s short exposure advanced from $113 million to $163 million, underscoring its status as one of the platform’s largest shorts on ETH, ZEC, and MON.
