Iranian state television reported on the 1st that riots occurred the previous night in Kuhdasht, Lorestan Province in western Iran, where a member of the "Organization for Mobilizing the Oppressed" volunteer force died while maintaining public order, and another 13 law enforcement officers and volunteer members were injured. In addition, according to a report by Iran's Fars News Agency on the 1st, protesters damaged several government buildings and banks in Lordegan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, southwestern Iran, on the same day. The report stated that the protesters included some armed individuals who opened fire on law enforcement officers, causing some injuries among them, and several leading protesters were arrested. Citing an informed source, the report said that 2 people died in the clashes in Lordegan, but did not disclose the identities of the deceased.
