Nordea has previously maintained a cautious stance toward cryptocurrencies, stating that as the European crypto regulatory environment matures and demand for virtual and cryptocurrencies continues to grow in the Nordic region, it has decided to allow customers to trade crypto-related products on its platform. Nordea will allow customers to trade a crypto-related product developed by an external company on its platform. This new product, developed by CoinShares, will be launched on the Nordea Bank platform in December 2025. The product is a so-called synthetic ETP, with bitcoin as the underlying asset, targeting experienced investors seeking alternative asset allocation.

Through MoonPay virtual accounts, users can now transfer funds directly from their bank accounts to their wallets within seconds. By creating a virtual account in the Mass application, users can receive US or EU bank account information (ACH, wire transfer, or SEPA), which can be used to transfer funds from their bank accounts and supports withdrawals at any time. MoonPay's virtual accounts are powered by Iron, which was acquired by MoonPay earlier this year. Iron's infrastructure enables real-time settlement and direct bank connectivity without holding user funds.
